How to Develop Limitless Energy

Today you’ll learn:

  • How to use food and water as medicine that nurtures and invigorates you
  • How to apply movement as a revitalizing sacred practice
  • How to exist from a high-energy baseline that allows you to live an exceptional life

Before we get started…

I designed a no-bullshit, easy to follow and highly actionable guide designed to help you stop struggling with poor nutrition, physical disconnection, and a chronic lack of energy.

I call it the Key of Health, and it will allow you to finally take the powers of your health into your own hands through intentional nutrition, meaningful movement, and high-energy amplification.

Energy is everything.

It is the foundation – the bedrock upon which you build the temple of yourself and your life.

Without energy, you can’t achieve anything.

Energy is the pure essence, the very heart of creative action and one’s ability to manifest – to bring a vision to life.

And it all starts with the body, and the quality of your health.

I got asked a question recently by one of my readers – they wanted to know…

“Whenever I try to ground myself spiritually by focusing on my breath, I can’t help but wonder…

Is it really some spiritual energy that’s flowing through my body, or is it only my nervous system reacting? Am I tricking myself?”

I told them they were thinking about it the wrong way.

There is no separation.

The physical (that which is seen) is a manifestation of and vehicle for the “spiritual” (that which is unseen).

If the energy you feel flowing through your body is the result of your nervous system, if it’s the result of the natural physical processes of your body reacting to your intention…

Does that somehow make the resulting experience any less meaningful or beneficial?

If you manage to illicit a deep sense of wonder, a feeling of unified connectedness to a greater force, or a super-charged state of high energy coursing through your veins…

Does it matter if it’s rooted in the “supernatural” or “other-worldly” versus the natural working and chemical reactions of your body?

No, it doesn’t.

Steam, rain, and ice, while in different forms, are all still water.

I’m telling you this because it’s the first thing to understand when it comes to achieving limitless energy.

The body and the mind are one, and both are energy at their core.

If you know how to tap into that energy, it will provide you with a raw power that influences and enhances everything.

From your thoughts to your emotions to your behaviors.

Use this understanding to your advantage, and you will enhance your ability to perform and manifest within all other areas of your life.

There is no easier or faster way that I know of to create deeper levels of vibrancy, richness, and fulfillment for yourself.

Anytime I want to expand myself, push my limits, or achieve higher levels in any area of life…

I always start by first seeing how I can improve my health.

And my hope with this article is to give you the tools to help you do the same for yourself.

To do that, we’re going to focus on the 3 core areas that define your overall health:

  1. Nutrition – and how to consume in a way heals and revitalizes you from the inside out

  2. Movement – and how to engage your body in ways that will help you feel your physical best

  3. Energy – and how to live from a vivacious, amplified state that lasts all day long

Let’s get started.

Let food be thy medicine

30 trillion, or 150 times the number of galaxies in the observable universe.

That’s how many cells work together to keep your body alive and well.

Everything you experience, everything you think, feel, say, and do, is because you have your cells.

So… when was the last time you thanked them?

I mean it – when was the last time you consciously, intentionally expressed gratitude for your cells?

Probably never, right? It’s okay, I can’t blame you.

After all, you don’t think of your cells as separate lifeforms.

They create you, so they are you, and that’s how you think about it.

But I want to invite you to think about it differently.

When you think about your body, “we” is much more accurate than “I”.

I’m not suggesting you start referring to yourself as a collective, but I want you to ask yourself this question that I hope makes you sit back and reflect:

Would the 30 trillion members of my body be grateful for me?

You know the answer intuitively.

After all, it is your body.

This is why being highly intentional with your nutrition is so important. It is the first and most important way to honor the cells that give you life, because what you consume is what inevitably becomes them.

A poor nutritional practice creates weak cells; weak cells create a weak body.

A conscious nutritional practice creates strong cells; strong cells create a strong body.

The consumption of high-quality food is the absorption of high-quality life-force.

When you consume food that is rich, vibrant, and full of life, you bring that richness, vibrancy, and fullness into your own being.

The practice of good nutrition is the practice of revering food through fully understanding what it is truly meant to be…

A sacred and ultimate medicine that nourishes and heals.

It isn’t a diet, it’s a lifestyle – integral to the fabric of a good, long, well-lived life.

Here are a few general guidelines that will help you nourish your cells for strength, longevity, and high-energy:

  1. Hydration is King – Water is the lifeblood of your being, and it is the cornerstone of all nutritional practices. Not a day goes by when I don’t drink AT LEAST a gallon of water. You must consume water often and throughout the entirety of your day. Ideally, you want it to be the only liquid you consume – with the only “exceptions” being sparkling water flavored with fresh fruit, or tea (preferably green or herbal). Put about 1/4 teaspoon of sea-salt in your water to help improve absorption and to infuse it with electrolytes. And, if you can, drink water from natural springs or reverse-osmosis filtration systems to ensure that the water isn’t “dead” and is free of harmful chemicals and metals.

  2. Your food must be whole – The closer your food is to the farm, the dirt, and the trees, the better. You want vegetables and fruits that are grown in high-quality soil, free of poisonous chemicals and pesticides. If you consume animal products, you should aim to consume products that come from free-range, grass-fed, well-taken care of animals. Avoid anything derived from factory farms if at all possible. And whatever you do, aim to limit or cut processed foods that come from boxes, cartons, or bags. Do as much of your own home cooking with fresh ingredients as possible.

  3. Ingredients litmus test – If it has ingredients you can’t pronounce, it’s probably best to avoid it. If it has ingredients you wouldn’t find in your pantry at home, it’s probably best to avoid it. If it has more than 5 ingredients, it’s probably best to avoid it. Apply these rules of thumb to the majority of the food you consume. Of course, there will always be exceptions to this. When you begin to do a lot of research into ingredients and their purposes in food, you’ll find that some might be difficult to pronounce or are “unnatural” without being inherently bad. But when you’re starting off, it’s a good rule of thumb to follow.

  4. Eat the rainbow – In nature, rich in color almost always translates to rich in high-quality nutrients. The vast majority of people can only benefit from incorporating a wider range of vegetables and fruit (especially berries) in their diet. There is some dispute about this depending on who you ask. Some say you should eat only fruit and no vegetables, some say 2/3 vegetables to 1/3 fruit, etc. My only recommendation is to experiment, and stick with whatever makes you feel your physical best.

  5. Anti-inflammatory – When you’re thinking about good nutrition, you want to think of anti-inflammatory foods. 60% of the common diet is ultra-processed, made of white flour, high fructose corn syrup, soybean oil, sugar, alcohol, and low quality trans-fat. All are highly inflammatory, and inflammation is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) root causes of disease and sickness. Inflammation is linked to skin issues, digestion issues, asthma, arthritis, cancers, and other diseases. Things like wheat and dairy, though inherently aren’t bad for you, are processed in a way that makes them contributors to inflammation. When developing an optimal diet, always keep the goal of anti-inflammation in the back of your mind.

  6. Consume graciously – ALWAYS express gratitude for your food and your water. Thank the animal or plant your food was derived from, express appreciation for clean and clear drinking water. Ask that your cells absorb what is being consumed optimally and effectively, and that they use the nourishment for continued vitality and high-energy. You only benefit from adding this conscious, intentional component to your consumption – make it a habitual practice you engage with every single time you eat or drink.

Every “body” is different, and there is no single right nutritional path that works for everyone.

But there are some foods that are good for almost everyone, and some “foods” (you can barely call them that) that are bad for everyone.

Experiment with your nutrition, play with different ways of eating and rely on your own anecdotal experience. Become familiar with what makes you feel the best, what lends itself to your highest level of vibrancy and lasting states of energy, and carve out a way of eating that works well for you.

Allow it to change, evolve, and shift, as is natural for a lifelong practice.

But always approach it from the same place:

Food is medicine, water is medicine – what I eat is what my cells become, and my cells are who I am. If I honor and nourish my cells, I honor and nourish myself.

Movement as a sacred practice

Your body is your connection to the world around you.

To move is to bridge the internal to the external.

  • The artist must move to create.
  • The athlete must move to perform.
  • The entrepreneur must move to build.

And all people, no matter who they are or where they come from, must move in order to optimize health and wellness.

To move is to live, and to live is to move — motion is synonymous with life.

I also want you to understand that movement, motion, is inherent within every process.

There are no pure mental processes, emotional processes, or physical processes. Everything touches everything, and connects to and influences every other process.

It’s all motion and movement – and once you understand this fact, you’ll be able to begin circulating energy more effectively because you’ll understand that your energy level on a daily basis is also a form of movement.

It simply functions under a fundamental law of the Universe – a body in motion tends to stay in motion, a body at rest tends to stay at rest.

So, if you want to achieve limitless energy, you must spend the majority of your time moving – mentally, emotionally, creatively, and physically.

But since our focus today is how you feel through and within your body, here are some steps you can take to optimize the effectiveness of your movement practice for high levels of energy.

One of the best ways I’ve found to do this is by approaching any form of movement as a meditative practice.

Here are ways I use a few forms of movement as meditation to promote high-energy states – keep in mind that you can apply this to any kind of movement you choose to engage with:

  • In lifting, I activate a state of meditation rooted in positively channeled aggression and primal power. It connects me with strength, ferocity, and power.

  • In stretching, I activate a state of meditation rooted in deeply connecting to my physical form, and releasing any and all tightness and tension I may be holding. It connects me with flexibility, calmness, and collectedness.

  • In biking or walking, I activate a state of meditation rooted in circulating creative inspiration, and increasing sensitivity to the beauty and wonder of the natural world around me. It connects me with clarity, serenity, and gratitude.

  • In shadow boxing, I activate a state of meditation rooted in tapping into high levels of alertness and zeroed-in focus and precision. It connects me with responsiveness, capability, and adaptability.

Movement is the means by which you fully synchronize all parts of your being.

It is a way to become one with your physical vessel and activate total awareness. In doing so, you naturally increase your ability to transmute mental and emotional energy, and strengthen your connection to and sense for the subtle energies that are perpetually circulating through you at all times.

This process of transmuting mental and emotional energy, and connecting to the subtle internal energies, is the same process that takes place within any creative pursuit.

And so, through movement, you naturally embody a state that is highly conducive to continued growth, creation, and manifestation both personally and professionally.

In other words, a focus on increasing your proficiency in movement seamlessly gives way to increasing your proficiency in all other areas that matter, because it directly enriches the foundation at the heart of all other areas – your energetic levels.

Optimizing your energetic baseline

While nutrition and movement serve as the foundation that determines your baseline energy, there is more you can do to not only effectively manage your energetic state, but to optimize it.

First, understand that energy is a finite resource.

From the moment you wake up, your energy reserves for the day begin to deplete.

As they deplete, so too does your ability to actively manifest and create.

And so, in order to perform optimally and live extraordinarily, you must learn how to do two things exceptionally well…

  • Increase the amount of energy you have access to
  • Improve the overall quality of the energy you have access to

There are actually 4 primary types of energy – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual – all of which I talk about in depth inside the Key of Health.

But for the sake of brevity, I’m going to focus on physical energy optimization.

While nutrition and movement are important elements to optimizing your physical energy, there’s a third component that’s even more vital…

Your sleep habits and recovery tendencies.

In our current world, there’s too heavy an emphasis on productivity and effort, leading to a disconnect from the one thing that makes those things viable in the first place: sleep.

On average, most working people get between 5-6 hours of sleep a night, despite the body needing between 8-9+.

Optimizing sleep is easily the best way to improve and increase sustained energy levels. If you can maximize the quality of your sleep, you’ll have much higher and much more consistent energy throughout the day.

Here are a few simple ways to optimize your sleep hygiene:

  • Going to bed and waking up around the same time every night/day

  • Keeping yourself away from screens late at night

  • Exposing your eyes to photons (natural sunlight) first thing when you wake up

  • Dedicating to a committed evening routine or lunar activation that you can use to bring yourself into a sleep-prepared state

These are all practices you can implement in order to start getting better quality sleep and feeling more refreshed and awake in the mornings, but sleep optimization goes beyond the actions you take to prepare yourself for a night’s rest.

It also relies on the physical environment you create to sleep within.

Sleeping in a dark, cool room is most conducive for optimal sleep, so make a point to set those conditions as thoroughly as possible. Sleep in silence or with white noise, and try to refrain from engaging in non-sleep related activities in that space.

Your bed and bedroom should be a sacred space meant for the activity of sleeping. When you perform other activities like watching TV in bed, eating in bed, scrolling your phone in bed, etc, you make a mental connection between that physical space and being awake.

Move those types of activities to your living room and couch as much as possible, and allow your bed to become the space designated for the one thing it’s meant for – rest, recovery, and sleep.

Honestly, there’s much more I’d like to talk about as it relates to energy optimization, such as…

  • The role of breathing in regulating and amplifying energy
  • How embodying states of enjoyment and excitement keep you feeling alive and electric from day to day…

But I (unfortunately) have to cut it short here, because this article would end up being 5,000 – 6,000 words long if I didn’t.

All of that information (and more) is discussed in depth inside the Key of Health.
